Why eAML exists

From 1 July 2026, AUSTRAC's Tranche 2 reforms brought real estate agents, lawyers, accountants, conveyancers and dealers in precious metals and stones into Australia's AML/CTF regime for the first time. Every one of them now needs an AML/CTF program, customer due diligence on every transaction, sanctions and PEP screening, and seven years of audit trail — or a manual, paper-based process AUSTRAC still permits, but that scales badly for anything beyond a handful of transactions a year.

Most of the businesses this reform touches are small — a handful of agents or partners, thin margins, no compliance team, and a deadline that had already passed before many of them had heard of it. The existing software market largely prices for that reality with a subscription plus an onboarding fee that isn't a rounding error to a two-person practice.

eAML removes that barrier entirely: a free tier that's a genuinely complete AML/CTF platform, not a crippled trial, with a modest per-check fee paid by the client being screened — not the business — for the parts of the process that inherently cost money to run.

Who's behind it

eAML is built by Janusoft Pty Ltd, an Australian software company. We're a small team building compliance software we'd want to use ourselves — direct, transparently priced, and built against AUSTRAC's own guidance rather than a generic "AML platform" template.

Before eAML, Janusoft's team delivered production systems for some of Australia's largest organisations — the same engineering discipline this platform is built with:

  • National Australia Bank — Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM)
  • Coles
  • Australia Post — fulfilment and revenue recovery services
  • Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)

Not legal advice. eAML helps you run the CDD, screening, and record-keeping processes your AML/CTF program requires — it doesn't replace your own program, your obligation to enrol with AUSTRAC, or independent legal advice on your specific circumstances.
